DocKvinne concept
「即使明天就是世界末日,今天的我仍然会种下一棵苹果树 | Si demain la fin du monde m’était annoncée, je planterais quand même un pommier | Jeg ville likevel plantet et epletre i dag, dersom verden tok slutt 」
From an impoverished suburb of Paris to a remote sheep farm in Norway, and within the unconventional households of Chinese lesbians forming families with gay men, women behind the camera are crafting profound narratives that reimagine what it means to live, love and resist in a chaotic and crisis-ridden world.
With a measured optimism and transcultural sensitivity, DocKvinne, a film festival devoted to female gaze, presents unexpected reflections and representations on womanhood, family, and the fragile future of humanity. With seven intense, bold, and contemplative documentaries across three vastly different cultural contexts, this curated screening project, co-created by Fra Øst til Nord and Comptoir du Doc, will be your portal to a world both familiar and starringly new, where perhaps you will find your apple tree 苹果树/pommier/epletre.
